The original Eau de Cologne was brought by Italian perfumer Jean-Marie Farina to Cologne, Germany in the 1700's. His light, fresh blend of citrus oils concentrated at just 2-5% offered a revolutionary alternative to the heavy scents of the times, but did not last too long. So the genial founders of Atelier Cologne, Sylvie Ganter and Christopher Cervasel created us Cologne Absolues, these concentrated formulas with distinctive and long-lasting sillage.
